The Darkness let the crowd sing first... wait until the song really starts
In an era dominated by polished indie rock and hyper-serious post-punk, The Darkness showed up in silver spandex, cranked their Marshall stacks to 11, and brought back pure, unadulterated stadium worship.
Their performance of I Believe in a Thing Called Love at Reading Festival in 2004 perfectly captured what made them so special. Before the band even launched into the song, tens of thousands of fans were already singing along. When the riff finally kicked in, the entire field seemed to explode. This isn't ironic. It's brilliant showmanship.
